• 7-liter V8: 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque
• Supercharged 6.2-liter V8: 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque

An eight-speed automatic transmission is mated to every engine. Rear-wheel drive comes standard, but you can opt for four-wheel drive.

You’ll have your choice of two bed lengths with the RAM 1500, either five feet seven inches or six feet four inches. With the bigger bed — along with a Quad Cab — your truck will be able to haul up to 2,300 lbs.

RAM 2500

The 2023 RAM 2500 comes standard with a 6.4-liter V8 engine that generates 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque, or you can opt for a 6.7-liter Cummins® diesel inline-6 that offers 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque. The base engine features an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the diesel gets a six-speed automatic. Four-wheel drive comes standard.

This truck has outstanding hauling ability, as the base model has a maximum payload of 4,010 lbs. You have two bed lengths to pick from on the RAM 2500: six feet four inches or eight feet.

RAM 3500

The 2023 RAM 3500 has the same two engine options as the RAM 2500, but offers a third in the form of the available high-output 6.7-liter Cummins diesel inline-6 which produces 420 horsepower and 1,075 lb-ft of torque. The base engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the diesel comes with a six-speed automatic. Four-wheel drive is standard.

The RAM 3500 also has the same bed length choices as the RAM 2500, but with its much more powerful third engine option, its maximum payload climbs all the way up to 7,680 pounds.
