Power- and Drivetrain

There’s certainly no shortage of power with the Dodge Charger, no matter which engine you go with. While the base is a 3.6-liter V6 that produces 292 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, there are several others to pick from:

  • 6-liter V6: 300 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque
  • 7-liter V8: 370 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque
  • 4-liter V8: 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque
  • Supercharged 6.2-liter V8: 717 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque
  • Supercharged 6.2-liter V8: 797 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque

All engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard in this Dodge sedan, with all-wheel drive is an option. In addition to excellent power, the Dodge Charger has good agility, and it keeps its composure very well around tight corners.


The Dodge Charger has a spacious interior that fits up to five people. Cloth upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob are all standard. You can also add:
