2021 Jeep® Cherokee vs 2021 Honda CR-V: Who’ll Take the Crown?

Capability
Both SUVs can be optionally equipped to drive all four wheels. But they approach it differently. The Honda CR-V offers all-wheel drive; the Jeep Cherokee has four-wheel drive.
The difference isn’t just semantics. Four-wheel drive uses a transfer case alongside the differential used by an AWD system. This provides part-time capability, less wear, and much better off-road capability thanks to the lower gear ratios available (the CVT in the Honda CR-V can’t do that).
Equally to the point, the Honda CR-V offers only 7.8 inches of ground clearance. The 2021 Jeep Cherokee starts at 8.7 inches, and with adaptive air suspension available in the Trail Rated™ Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk trim. You can even raise clearance to 10.8 inches.
