The new 2012 Jeep Liberty will come in three different models. These are the Liberty Sport, the Limited Edition, and the Renegade. The Jeep brand is affectionately known by millions and retains the coveted honor of manufacturing the most award winning 4x4s.
The newest of its line, the 2012 Jeep Liberty model is a direct and proud descendant of the original military vehicle that has inspired Jeep's entire line. Its stylish and rugged front end still features the classic look of bright, round headlamps and characteristic seven slotted grill, known around the world now just as it has been for over sixty years of service.
In terms of performance and under-the-hood specifications, the 2012 Jeep Liberty Limited Edition and Renegade come standard with a powerful 3.7 Power Tech V-6, offering 210 horsepower. This provides the Liberty with the ability to tow up to 5000 pounds if equipped properly. Other engine options are available for the 2012 version of the Liberty, including the 2.4-liter Power Tech I-4 engine with enhanced horsepower. This engine comes standard on the Liberty Sport model. As one of the few in its class with an actual true-range mode, the new Liberty offers either the part time Command Trac system for added stability or the optional full time Selec Trac, a four-wheel drive system. The automatic transmission in the four-wheel drive system offers a reverse gear ratio identical to its first, providing more torque and control when backing up with a heavy load. This option is available in the Liberty 3.7-liter Power Tech V-6.
Concerning the look of the new Liberty, the 2012 model is expected to appear similar to the most recent model, the 2011. Some minor changes to the inside of the Jeep are projected, including the option of a 3rd row seat and a more spacious cargo area. Remote keyless entry, a favorite of drivers everywhere, has been carried over from the 2011 model as well, along with reclining bucket seats and enhanced front suspension.
The new 2012 Jeep Liberty makes loading and unloading of cargo easier than ever with the convenient swing-gate and an improved 70 cubic feet of interior space for exceptional storage and haul capability. For outdoors enthusiasts who love to go off road with large recreational equipment, the Liberty is a perfect fit, no matter the terrain involved. The Renegade model features a premium Mopar Roof Rack with Cross Rails and a Water Sports Carrier for extra-large accessories such as kayaks and oars or fishing equipment. Potential buyers are invited to choose from an almost endless selection of exclusive Mopar accessories for any one of the new Jeep Liberty models. In addition to all of this convenience and accessibility, Liberty offers long-term reliability and safety with a durable body and single unit frame. The lighter weight and rigid form of its construction offer superior security and longevity than the Jeep's competitors.
